School bus involved in multi-vehicle crash in Eaton County

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – Three people, none of them students, suffered minor injuries in a three-car crash in Eaton County Tuesday morning. The accident involved a Dean Transport school bus, but no students were on the bus at the time of the accident.

The Eaton County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday that a preliminary investigation indicates a distracted driver failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of S Royston Rd and E Clinton Trail (M-50), causing the crash.

Three vehicle drivers who were slightly injured in the accident were treated at the scene by first responders. The Eaton County Sheriff’s Office and Eaton Rapids County Fire and Rescue responded to the scene. M-50 was closed at Clinton Trail for about an hour in both directions Tuesday morning, but later reopened.
