Long Island murder investigated at Hamptons resort – NBC New York

Authorities are investigating the apparent murder of a woman. His body was found in the guest room the day before at a luxury resort and spa in the Hamptons, according to police.

Officers from Southampton Town Police attended the Shou Sugi Ban House on Montauk Highway in Watermill early Monday afternoon following news of the death. Authorities said a staff member found the woman’s body.

Although the police did not provide detailed information, they said that it was determined that the woman was a victim of violence.

The victim’s name and age were not immediately released. Police said there will continue to be a police presence in and around the wellness center while the investigation continues.

Shou Sugi Ban House describes itself as a “private sanctuary and gated compound surrounded by evergreen trees and lush grass.” The luxury resort has 13 rooms and “independent luxury residences for short-term rentals” on three acres. It offers yoga, meditation, fitness, nutrition, skin care, hydrotherapy programs, as well as massages and a dining program in a “holistic, educational environment.”

The venue costs around $5,000 per night.
