31-Year-Old Suspect Wanted in Connection to Northwest DC Murder

Washington, D.C. — A manhunt is underway for a suspect connected to a fatal shooting in Northwest D.C. in February, and detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating him. The suspect, identified as 31-year-old Orlando Anderson, is wanted for the murder of 32-year-old Jeremy Dewayne Johnson, who was fatally shot on Northwest Shepherd Street in the early hours of Feb. 12.

Officers responded to gunshots around 2:41 a.m. and found Johnson, of Southeast D.C., with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

31-Year-Old Suspect Wanted in Connection to Northwest DC Murder

Anderson, of no fixed address, is currently wanted on a D.C. Superior Court warrant for Second Degree Murder While Armed.

Anyone with information on Anderson’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact law enforcement by calling (202) 727-9099 or texting the Department’s tip line at 50411. A reward of up to $25,000 will be offered for tips leading to an arrest and conviction in this case. .
