NEW LONDON, CT (WFSB) – Police arrested a man following a domestic dispute regarding reports of gunshots.

The man was identified as Wayne Vendetto III, 24, of New London.

on Saturday, police at Chapel Dr. and responded to a report of gunshots heard near Hall Ave.

Upon further investigation, police were unable to find any evidence to support the report.

However, police said they arrested a man for a domestic dispute related to the initial report.

He was charged with first-degree threatening, first-degree reckless endangerment, interfering with police and disturbing the peace.
