PIKE COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) – A Pike County woman is facing multiple charges, including drug trafficking and assaulting a police officer.

Officers responded to a report of a shoplifter at Walmart in Pikeville. Police said Lori Fields, 64, of Pinsonfork, packed up the items and left without paying.

Police said Fields resisted arrest in front of the store and began fighting with officers.

After locating the items, police said they also found drug paraphernalia as well as suspected heroin, meth, fentanyl and cocaine.

Lori Fields was charged with third-degree assault on a police officer, burglary, resisting arrest and menacing. He also faces three drug trafficking charges.

He was taken to the Pike County Detention Center.
