Syracuse, NY — A man is in critical condition at a Syracuse hospital after being hit by a car in Utica, police said.

The crash was reported around 2:30 a.m. Sunday at South and Genesee streets.

The man was found on the road with multiple injuries, according to Utica Police Department spokesman Lt. Michael Curley. He was first taken to Wynn Hospital in Utica, then to a hospital in the Syracuse area.

The vehicle that hit the man is believed to be a red or maroon sedan with front-end damage, Curley said.
