Watch live: Police offer $100,000 reward and immunity in Arthur Easton murder case

Police have offered a $100,000 reward and possible immunity from prosecution in an appeal for information about the murder of Arthur Easton in Auckland’s Papakura 39 years ago.

Detective Inspector Warrick Adkin announced the award at Counties Manukau Police Station on Tuesday.

Easton, 52, was stabbed to death by an intruder in October 1985.

In August, police said they arrested two former staff members involved in the initial murder investigation and a former prosecutor involved in the subsequent case. charged with miscarriage of justice.

All three pleaded not guilty.
