ST ANDREW, Jamaica – Angry residents of Olympic Road, St Andrew, barricaded themselves for a second day on Monday after 19-year-old Jaheim Morrison was allegedly killed by police and another teenager was seriously injured on Saturday night.

While residents of the neighborhood protested the alleged murder of the 19-year-old ‘TikToker’ by the police, burnt debris blocked the road on Olympic Road.

Residents claim that the deceased was a quiet person and mostly spent his time on the video-sharing platform TikTok.

They said it was the second alleged police killing in the community in just over a year, following the shooting death of a man in May 2023. The Independent Commission of Inquiry launched an investigation into the incident.
