HOLMES COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – Some schools in Bonifay have canceled outdoor events scheduled for Monday, October 27 as a precaution.

The announcement came after the Bonifay Police Department released details of an incident. double murder investigationand their search for a person connected to the case.

Holmes District School Board The announcement made Sunday evening stated that due to the increased law enforcement presence in Bonifay and out of an abundance of caution, there will be no outdoor events on Monday for Bonifay schools: Holmes County High School, Bonifay K-8 School and Graduation Assistance Program.

They stated that Bonifay K-8 School’s kindergarten and 1st grade Field Day has been postponed and the rescheduled date will be announced later.

School Board members asked parents to stay tuned for updates on events planned for the remainder of the week.
