A FIRST ON FOX: Indiana Republican Rep. Jim Banks is calling for an investigation into a Minnesota professor appointed to a task force examining “ethnic studies.” In Governor Tim Walz’s Minnesota The Department of Education praises the professor’s previous comments that the United States should be “overthrown” because it is “irreversibly racist.”

Fox News Digital previously reported that a video released by The Solidarity Network on June 19, 2022 showed Lozenski discussing critical race theory research and arguing that the United States is “irreversibly racist” and “must be overthrown.”

“We don’t use critical race theory in school,” Lozenski said. “The first tenet of critical race theory is that the United States, as it has been constructed, is irreversibly racist. So, if the nation state, as it has been constructed, is irreversibly racist, then it must be finished. It must be overthrown,” he said. In the 2022 video.

Lozenski’s biography claims that he was the author of a book titled “My Liberation Doesn’t Fit Your Equation: Critical Acts of Black Education in the United States” and that he was on the editorial board of a journal called Ethnic Studies Pedagogies.
