Brush fire in North Haven park prompts response from nearby units

NORTH HAVEN, CT – Multiple crews worked on a brush fire at a park Saturday night.

A brush fire was reported in the area of ​​167 Middletown Boulevard, prompting the response of North Haven firefighters.

At 8:41 p.m., dispatch requested all three brush units from North Branford to assist in fighting the fire.

Brush Units 1 and 3 accessed the fire from woods behind a nearby property, while Brush Unit 2 attempted to divert water through entry points to support firefighting efforts.

Engines ET-11 and ET-22 were also sent to the scene to support manpower.

Fire crews remained at the scene until 23.39 and successfully brought the situation under control.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

No injuries were reported.
