Teen arrested after fatal motorcycle crash that killed man in Pulaski County

PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Kentucky State Police say they are investigating following a two-vehicle crash that resulted in the death of a man riding a motorcycle and the arrest of a 19-year-old boy. Sunday in Pulaski County.

Authorities say police were called to the scene of a fatal two-vehicle crash just after 12 a.m. Sunday on U.S. 27 and East Frog Hollow Road in Pulaski County.

After initial investigation, police determined that a 2014 Jeep Wrangler was traveling north on US 27 when the driver rear-ended a black moped. According to authorities, the driver of the motorcycle was later removed from the motorcycle.

The Pulaski County Coroner’s Office identified the motorcycle driver as 31-year-old Dino R. Collins, who was taken to an area hospital and died from injuries sustained in the collision.

Authorities reported that “alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor in the collision.”

The driver of the vehicle, identified by police as 19-year-old Kayleigh J. Dismuke, was arrested and charged with the following crimes:

  • Vehicular Homicide While Under the Influence of Alcohol
  • Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence 1.
  • Not wearing a seat belt
  • Possibility to Have Open Alcoholic Beverages in a Motor Vehicle

The crash remains under investigation by KSP.
