CHICAGO (Wales) — Workers at a Pepsi warehouse on the South Side were notified Monday morning that the plant would close, union officials said.

Teamsters Local 727 said its members reported to the warehouse in the 5100 block of South Union Avenue for their 6 a.m. shift on Monday and were told to go home and the facility was closed.

Workers were told there would be a meeting later on Monday. Further details were not immediately clear.
