CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) – The Charleston Police Department Major Crash Investigation Team is investigating a fatal car-pedestrian crash that occurred Thursday night.

Officers determined the crash occurred on Seven Farms Drive near Pier View Street around 11:30 p.m.

They said a pedestrian entered the roadway in the 200 block of Seven Farms Drive and was struck by a vehicle.

That pedestrian was transported to the hospital and later died from his injuries.

The driver remained at the scene but no charges have been filed at this time.

The Charleston County Coroner’s Office has not yet released their identities and the Charleston Police Department is still investigating.
