The huge fire in the entire industrial site was brought under control by eight fire brigades from two districts.

Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service said firefighters were called to the derelict commercial building on Little Money Road in the Loddon Industrial Estate at 1.25am GMT.

Eight appliances from Loddon, Earlham, Great Yarmouth, Hethersett, Harleston, Wymondham, Beccles and Lowestoft extinguished the fire and remained to monitor the area for the rest of the night.

“It was quite surprising because of how big it was,” said bar worker Fiona Buck, who spotted the fire on her way home.
