SEATTLE – While a man was hospitalized, a young girl was arrested after the knife attack. Seattle‘s Capitol Hill neighborhood Saturday morning.

Seattle police responded to a report of a stabbing at 10:37 a.m. on Oct. 26.

Officers said they arrived at the scene to find a 55-year-old male victim suffering from multiple stab wounds.

Officers and first responders, including the Seattle Fire Department, administered medical aid to the victim at the scene. He was later transported to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.

A 17-year-old woman was arrested at the scene in connection with the stabbing and was charged with 1st degree assault. He was also taken to Harborview Medical Center for evaluation and necessary treatment and is expected to be placed in juvenile detention at the Juvenile and Family Justice Center.

The events leading up to the stabbing are under investigation. Police say at this time this case is open and subject to change and no detectives have been assigned to this case yet. Further updates are expected as the investigation progresses.
