West Plains volleyball retains top spot after win at Dumas on Saturday

DUMAS, Texas (KFDA) – The West Plains Lady Wolves retained first place in Region 4-4A by beating the Dumas Demonettes on Saturday.

The Lady Wolves defeated the Demonettes on the road in five games (25-15, 25-19, 21-25, 20-25, 17-15).

This was the second time West Plains defeated the Demonettes; Their last meeting was Oct. 1 in West Plains, where the Lady Wolves won in four rounds.

With the win, the Lady Wolves improved to 12-1 in district play and suffered their only loss of the season to the Randall Lady Raiders.

Dumas fell to 6-7 in district play but will try to get a win on the road against Pampa on Tuesday.

West Plains will stay at home to finish the season on Tuesday, facing CISD foe Canyon Lady Eagles.
