CINCINNATI — Ohio high school football’s postseason picture is in focus early Saturday night across seven divisions in Greater Cincinnati.

Joe Eitel, a computer scoring analyst who assists the Ohio High School Athletic Association with weekly football computer score ratings throughout the season. latest play-off predictions From late Friday night until early Saturday morning. The regular season ends Saturday night.

Eitel’s predictions are considered unofficial until the OHSAA announces playoff qualifiers, likely Saturday night or early Sunday morning.

The OHSAA said the 448 schools in the top 16 in each region will qualify for the playoffs. The Ohio high school football playoffs begin Nov. 1.

In Division I, Region 2, Lebanon (6-4) will face No. 6 seed Clayton Northmont (2-8) on Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. The 9th seed and No. 8 Huber Heights play at Wayne (5-5).

Middletown is led by head coach Kali Jones Which was in his first season with the Middies. Jones, the former Withrow head coach, was Huber Heights Wayne’s assistant offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach from 2011-14.

Inside Division I, Region 4, Moeller (9-1) is the No. 1 seed. Crusaders’ Mount St. Joseph University is scheduled to host No. 16 Sycamore (1-9).

Lakota West (9-1), the joint champion of the Greater Miami Conference with Princeton (8-2), is ranked 2nd. Winton Woods (9-1) hosts No. 3 seed and No. 14 Little Miami (1-9). There will be a reunion for the Little Miami coach Arryn Chenault He returns to Winton Woods in 2023, where he is the special teams coordinator.

Princeton is expected to be the No. 4 seed and host Fairfield (2-8). The Vikings defeated visiting Fairfield 62-30 on October 11.

In the rematch of the match played on September 20, #5 seed Hamilton (8-2) hosted #12 Oak Hills (4-6) and the host Big Blue won 34-7.

Elder (5-5) hosts No. 7 seed and No. 10 Mason (5-5).

In Division II, Region 8, Anderson (10-0) is the No. 1 seed. The Raptors earned their first 10-0 record since 2009. This marked the fifth time in program history that Anderson remained undefeated in the regular season.

La Salle (8-2) hosts No. 2 seed and No. 15 Monroe (4-6). The Lancers are continuing a significant comeback after winning a total of six games in 2022 and 2023.

Xenia (9-1) is the No. 3 seed. Badin (8-2), which won the Major Catholic League Mixed championship, is in 4th place.

Mount Healthy (8-2) is ranked No. 5 and hosts Aiken (6-3). Harrison (8-2) is ranked No. 6.

The Kings (8-2) are ranked No. 7 and host No. 10 Withrow (5-5).

In Division III, Region 12, McNicholas (8-2) is expected to be ranked 6th and Batavia (8-2) is expected to be ranked 7th. This was a pretty good turnaround for Batavia, which had a 3-7 record in 2023.

Wilmington (6-4) is ranked 10th, Ross (4-6) is ranked 13th. Franklin (4-6) is ranked 15th and Talawanda (3-7) is ranked 16th.

In Division IV, Region 16, Clinton-Massie (8-2) is the No. 1 seed. Wyoming (10-0) is ranked No. 2. Wyoming finished its 24th regular season undefeated in program history on Friday night.

Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy (9-1) is ranked No. 4 and Taft (8-2) is ranked No. 5.

Taylor (8-2) earned the No. 6 seed with a win over Indian Hill on Friday night. Braves (7-3) are in 9th place.

New Richmond (5-5), Shroder (7-3) and Roger Bacon (6-4) will also be available in the postseason.

In Division V, Region 20, Williamsburg (9-1) hosts a first-round game as a No. 6 seed against No. 11 Madeira (5-5).

In Division VI, Region 24, Cincinnati Country Day (9-1), which won its fourth straight Miami Valley Conference Gray division title, is ranked No. 2. St. Bernard-Elmwood Place (8-2) is ranked No. 5.

Miami Valley Christian Academy (4-6) and Purcell Marian (5-5, 4-5 per OHSAA) have clinched the playoffs. Deer Park (4-6) is also in.

In Division VII, Region 28, Cincinnati College Prep (7-2) sits in No. 3 after beating Dayton Christian on Saturday afternoon.

Lockland (2-7) withdrew from the postseason due to low roster numbers due to injuries and the number of players available for November, according to Lockland athletic director Jon Payne.

Lockland was expected to qualify 16th early Saturday. Instead, Cedarville (4-6) sits at No. 16, according to Eitel.

All playoff rounds prior to the state finals will be held on Fridays for all seven divisions. The top eight seeds in each of the regions host the first round matches.

There are 707 schools in the 11-player football computer rankings. The 72 largest schools are in Division I, while the remaining schools are evenly divided in Divisions II through VII (about 106 schools in each division).

Regional semifinals, regional finals and state semifinals will be held at neutral venues.

The state finals will be held Dec. 5-7 at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton. Program:
