Clay County, Neb. (KSNB) – One person died in a crash involving a train and a vehicle in Clay County on Friday.

According to a statement from the Clay County Sheriff’s Department, the accident occurred around 5 p.m. near Route 318 and Route P.

The driver of the vehicle died at the scene, the sheriff’s department said.

The investigation into the accident continues.

Sutton Police Department, BNSF Police, Nebraska State Patrol, Harvard Fire and Rescue and Clay County Emergency Management assisted on the incident.
