TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WBRC) – Alabama, With its lowest ranking since 2010It’s trying to keep its non-Playoff hopes alive by beating 21st-seeded Missouri.

1st Quarter

The Tigers (6-1, 2-1) got the ball first and went on to hit a three-and-out and Jihaad Campbell sacked Brady Cook for an eight-yard loss on second down.

Alabama (5-2, 2-2) took over at its own 21-yard line.

Jamarion Miller was stopped on second down, but a face mask penalty on Missouri gave the Tide another low. Two plays later, Kendrick Law broke free for a 21-yard run down the left sideline.

Jalen Milroe completed two short passes before Judge Haynes was intercepted for third down, forcing ‘Bama to settle for Graham Nicholson’s 47-yard field goal and take a 3-0 lead.

Missouri’s next drive was another three-and-out as Marcus Carroll picked up two short field goals before Cook’s fumble forced the Tigers to punt.

On third down, Milroe threw to right for Kobe Prentice but Nicholas DeLoach fumbled the ball and forced the Tide to punt.

Missouri’s first defeat came when LT Overton was flagged for a late hit against Cook after officials stopped the game against the Tigers for delay of play. While Mizzou did get another first down on the drive, they still had to punt when Cook’s pass to Mekhi Miller on third down fell incomplete.

On third down and deep in its own territory, Alabama took a blowout loss when Milroe was sacked by Johnny Walker for a five-yard loss.

2nd Quarter

After Alabama forced Missouri to punt, Milroe got a quick first down when he found Germie Bernard, who broke several tackles for a 12-yard gain. Miller then got another one with a 14-yard run.

On second-and-16, Milroe threw a deep shot to Prentice, but the ball tipped over and grazed the receiver’s fingertips. On the next play, the pocket around Milroe collapsed and Missouri sacked him for a six-yard loss.

Another penalty, this time kick catch interference, gave Missouri possession near midfield.
