A fire in the East Corning neighborhood Friday night spread from one house to another on King Circle.

Emergency calls were made around 9:45 p.m., and multiple fire crews rushed to the scene near State Route 352.

Neighbors described bright flames and thick smoke coming from both houses, and the intense fire could still be seen in the backyard of the first property at around 10pm.

Fire crews continued to work to control the fire, but the extent of damage, possible injuries and cause are unknown at this time.
