PRO-BAR donated food for ‘Kristine’ victims

The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region Police Regional Office (PRO-BAR) donated food for victims of the onslaught of severe Tropical Storm Kristine.

PRO-BAR director Police Brigadier Romeo Macapaz said the donated food items included rice, instant coffee, canned goods, milk powder, biscuits, instant noodles and bottled water.

Macapaz said the donated food items will, in one way or another, help meet the needs of Tropical Storm Kristine victims.

“As the government steps up efforts to accelerate recovery and mitigate the impact of severe Tropical Storm Kristine, the men and women of PRO-BAR are joining hands in the spirit of Bayanihan,” Macapaz said in a statement on Saturday, October 26.

He said the donated food items were delivered to the Police Community Affairs and Development Group of the Philippine National Police in Camp Crame on Thursday, October 24.

Meanwhile, the Lanao del Sur Provincial Police Office has mobilized a search and rescue team to respond to emergencies caused by Tropical Storm Kristine in the province.

Lanao del Sur police chief Police Col. Robert Daculan said the team is equipped with the necessary equipment to respond to storm-related incidents. (Sun Star Zamboanga)
