Franklin Parish woman taken into custody after authorities seized drugs from her home

MONROE, La. (KNOE) – A Franklin County woman was taken into custody after deputies found narcotics at her home.

On October 24, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Section executed a search warrant at the residence of April Danielle Adkin after receiving credible information that fentanyl pills were being distributed from the residence.

Adkins was indicted on the following charges:

  • Three distribution numbers of Schedule II CDS
  • Three Holds with Intent to Distribute Schedule II CDS
  • One Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule I CS
  • Count Four of Possession of the Legendary Drug
  • Two counts of Illegal Carrying a Weapon
  • Two Counts of Illegal Use of CDS in the Presence of Juveniles
  • Number of Transactions Obtained from Drug Crimes

A. Social media sharing from FPSO It said in part: “These deadly pills were in a house where children lived and were easily accessible. It’s illogical that someone could or would choose to be this reckless. Our narcotics team rarely finds some level of fentanyl mixed in most street-level narcotics.”

Adkins is being held on $825,000 bond.
