Brentwood beat Independence and set up Region 6-6A title with Ravenwood

J.C. White threw for 243 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 41 yards in Brentwood’s 20-6 District 6-6A victory on Friday, setting up a district championship game against Ravenwood in Week 11 at the Battle of the Jungle.

The Bruins’ (8-1, 4-0 Region 6-6A) passing attack was led by Austin Peay commit Clayton Merrill, who caught six passes for 90 yards and a touchdown. Teammate Gavyn Nelson rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown.

Matthew Horner was 9-of-20 passing for 104 yards and a touchdown and an interception for Independence (2-7, 1-3).

BGA 55, Webb 14: Kaedyn Marable was 7-of-11 passing for 169 yards with three touchdowns and one interception and had two carries for 32 yards and a touchdown for BGA (7-2). Locke Kennedy had three catches for 123 yards and three touchdowns, and Fletcher Fields rushed for 72 yards and two touchdowns on three carries.

Blackman 42, Rockvale 0: Marcus Cameron was 15-of-16 passing for 188 yards and four touchdowns in the win over Blackman (5-4, 2-2 District 3-6A). Max Wilcox caught three passes for 29 yards and two touchdowns and Grant Gardner rushed for 61 yards for the Blaze. Jaylan Morgan was 3-of-10 passing for 33 yards and an interception for Rockvale (2-7, 1-3). Dallas Pauldo had a 33-yard reception and blocked the field goal.

Brentwood Academy 24, Lipscomb Academy 16: Tennessee football commit George MacIntyre completed 18-of-22 passes for 281 yards and three touchdowns, and MTSU commit Neo Clifton had six catches for 129 yards and a TD to lead the Eagles (6-3, 2-2 DII-AAA East). had. Sophomore Kesean Bowman added 109 yards and a touchdown on five catches for the Eagles. Eighth-grader Ty Snell threw for 202 yards and Drew Patterson had 90 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries for Lipscomb Academy (3-6, 2-2).

Montae Baldwin rushed for 139 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries, while Wyatt Ayers caught a pass for 44 yards and a score. Joey Edgerton completed 4-of-9 passes for 83 yards and Romel Anderson completed the Mt. Juliet ran in for a touchdown against Christian (4-5, 0-4).

CPA 21, FRA 7: Jayden Rush returned the kickoff 98 yards for a touchdown in the loss to FRA (8-1). Roman Mahlerwein was 21-of-31 passing for 189 yards and one interception and had five carries for 15 yards, and Jayden Rush caught seven passes for 62 yards for the Panthers.

DCA 32, Grace Christian 27: Mitchell Carey was 14-of-18 passing for 226 yards and four touchdowns, and King Gardner led DCA (8-1, 3-1 DII-A Central) with 122 yards on 23 carries. Knox Lambert completed 15-of-29 passes for 178 yards with three touchdowns and one interception, and Tucker Wolf caught four passes for 97 yards and a score for Grace Christian (4-5, 2-2).

Eagleville 26, Richland 7: Kaleb Snitzer had 17 carries for 198 yards and two touchdowns for the charter Eagles (6-3, 3-2 District 5-1A). Marshall Fields had three catches for 30 yards and a touchdown and three carries for 18 yards and a score, and Nolan Lane caught six passes for 80 yards.

Father Ryan 45, Christian Brothers 14: Joseph Derrick was 24-of-21 passing for 439 yards and six touchdowns for Father Ryan (6-3, 3-1 DII-AAA West). Caiden Anku had five catches for 179 yards and three touchdowns, and Brooks Foster added 110 yards and two touchdowns on six catches for the Irish.

Hendersonville 48, Lebanon 21: Caleb Sams went 16-of-21 passing for 315 yards and three touchdowns, while Cooper Jordan had 20 carries for 142 yards and three touchdowns to lead Hendersonville (7-2). Riley Jordan had 141 yards and two touchdowns on seven catches, and Justin Zuger caught five passes for 98 yards and a score.

Hillsboro 34, Glencliff 0: Trey Hodges rushed for 159 yards and two touchdowns and had three carries for 20 yards, and Syrlelle Burton caught two passes for 65 yards and a touchdown for Hillsboro (5-4, 2-2 District 6-5A). Dominick Hamer rushed for 45 yards and three touchdowns on eight carries for the Burros. Glencliff fell to 1-8 to 0-4.

Loretto 42, Waverly 13: Mason Tidwell was 8-of-14 passing for 239 yards and four touchdowns and had eight carries for 80 yards and a touchdown to lead Loretto (5-4, 4-2, District 5-2A). Nicholas McDow added 119 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries and had two catches for 112 yards and two touchdowns, and Corben Reynolds caught three passes for 96 yards and a touchdown.

Macon County 49, Watertown 7: Zach Borders had 113 yards and a touchdown on eight carries and Luke Gammon had an 83-yard field goal for Macon County (7-2). Gabe Borders had six catches for 78 yards and three touchdowns and four carries for 49 yards and was 2-for-2 passing for 17 yards and a touchdown.

Marshall County 54, Whites Creek 18: Tyler Thompson completed 12-of-16 passes for 246 yards and three touchdowns and had seven carries for 40 yards and two touchdowns for Marshall County (9-0). Marcus O’Neal caught three passes for 117 yards and Kel Hightower had four catches for 82 yards and two touchdowns.

Moore County 46, Forrest 37: Aiden Catrell was 11-of-17 passing for 152 yards with three touchdowns and one interception and had 10 carries for 114 yards and three touchdowns in the loss to Forrest (5-4). Cohen Grissom added 129 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries, and Eli Bell caught seven passes for 114 yards and a touchdown.

Nashville Christian 53, Clarksville Academy 0: Jared Curtis led Nashville Christian (8-1, 4-0 DII-A Central) with 259 yards and four touchdowns. Kaden Grigsby caught six passes for 121 yards and three touchdowns, and Keandre Gibson and Javin Drewelow each had one touchdown pass.

Page 49, Centenary 7: Mitchell Grandjean completed 10-of-12 passes for 242 yards and two touchdowns and had 17 carries for 97 yards and a touchdown for Page (9-0, District 6-5A). Brenden Anes rushed for two touchdowns and Knight Wilson had two catches for 97 yards and a touchdown for the Patriots.

Portland 21, Westmoreland 19: Portland (5-4) took a 21-7 lead in the fourth quarter and held off a late rally by Westmoreland (7-2) to keep it going. Skylar Hicks had six carries for 94 yards and two touchdowns, and Brogan High connected with Alex Swift on a 6-yard touchdown pass for the Panthers. Matthew Martin and Nathan Kelleher each caught a touchdown pass from Kade Perry, and Martin ran for a score for Westmoreland.

Ravenwood 32, Oakland 31: Femi Babalola connected with Ben Hubbard on a 10-yard touchdown pass in overtime and completed the 2-point conversion with another pass to Patrick Sullivan to give Ravenwood the lead (9-0). Babalola completed 8-of-21 passes for 173 yards with three touchdowns and one interception, and Hubbard caught seven passes for 93 yards and two touchdowns for the Raptors.

Kyler Creasy completed 10-of-18 passes for 190 yards and a touchdown, and Chase Bandy caught three passes for 89 yards for Oakland (8-1).

Riverdale 30, Siegel 0: Tristan Thorton was 6-of-17 passing for 64 yards and two interceptions in the loss to Siegel (1-8, 0-3 District 3-6A). Drew Hostetler had three catches for 58 yards and Braelyn Albea had 21 catches on seven carries. Riverdale improved to 8-1 and 4-0 to set up the district title with Oakland in Week 11.

Stewarts Creek 42, La Vergne 6: Jerry Taylor was 4-of-7 passing for 146 yards with two touchdowns and one interception against Stewarts Creek (8-1, 4-0 District 5-6A). Grady Harvey had two catches for 107 yards and a touchdown and Caleb Floyd ran for two scores for the Red Hawks.

Summit 20, Nolensville 13: Mason McElhaney was 8-of-19 passing for 152 yards and two touchdowns and had 16 carries for 26 yards and a touchdown for the Summit (3-6). Ryan Jones caught one pass for 70 yards and a touchdown, and Luke Oliver had 55 yards and a touchdown on four catches. Jack Dever was 26-of-43 passing for 193 yards with two interceptions for Nolensville (6-3).

Overman 29, Stone Monument 26: Bronzden Chaffin threw for 170 yards and 19 carries for 91 yards and three touchdowns for Upperman (9-0, 5-0 District 4-4A). Ethan Palk rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries and Brandon Turnbow added 76 yards on four catches.

York 60, Wartburg Central 0: Lake Drake rushed for 192 yards and three touchdowns on four carries to lead York (7-2, 4-0 Region 2-2A). Nathaniel Tipton had seven carries for 142 yards and two touchdowns and was 1-of-5 passing for 22 yards and a touchdown, and Landon Robbins rushed for 74 yards and two scores.
