Plane crashed near Utah-Arizona border

MOJAVE COUNTY, Ariz. — A plane crashed just south of the Utah-Arizona state line — fortunately, it didn’t cause any serious injuries.

St. George Fire Department officials confirmed to FOX 13 News that the crash occurred around 6:15 p.m., about 3-4 miles along the border with Arizona’s Mojave County. The accident was witnessed by people in the Desert Canyon neighborhood.

The fire department said everyone on board was able to exit the small private plane after the crash. It is thought there were three people. Injuries were reported to be mild to moderate, and authorities said the group walked to the nearest road where ambulances were waiting.

The plane caught fire at some point after the crash. However, St. George Fire said the disease wasn’t spreading and was too far away for resources to reach, so they just monitored it and let it burn out on its own.
