Four months after a 37-year-old woman disappeared without a trace, a man has been arrested after police said they were “very concerned” for her safety.

Detectives are seeking information about Charlene Hobbs, from the Riverside area of ​​Cardiff, who was last seen on July 7.

South Wales Police said the 45-year-old man, from nearby Adamsdown, was being questioned at Cardiff Bay police station.

Detective Chief Inspector Matt Davies said officers ‘kept an open mind about Charlene’s whereabouts but were very concerned about her welfare’.

He also urged members of the public to contact police if they have ‘any information’ about Charlene’s disappearance.

‘No matter how unimportant you think it is, it could help us find it,’ he added.

‘I also want to appeal directly to Charlene. If you are reading this please contact the police and let us know you are safe.’
