4 people died after a two-vehicle collision in Thornton

THORNTON, Colo. — Four people were killed and one person was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash in Thornton Saturday night.

According to the Thornton Police Department, the crash occurred at the intersection of Thornton Parkway and Washington Street around 7:30 p.m.

Police said one of the two vehicles involved in the accident caught fire and all four people inside died.

The driver of the second vehicle was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The cause of the accident is being investigated. Police did not release additional details.

The Adams County Coroner’s Office will release the identities, official cause and families of the four people who died at a later date.
