St. Thomas intersection closes due to construction

Ontario, St. Two new intersections have opened in St. Thomas. however, one major artery is scheduled to be closed on Monday due to construction.

Highbury Boulevard at the Ron McNeil Line will be closed for an indefinite period starting October 28.

St. “During this partial closure, southbound Highbury traffic will be routed using the Ron McNeil Line, Burwell Road and Talbot Street,” the City of Thomas wrote in an online notice. “East/westbound traffic on the Ron McNeil Line will be detoured using Highbury Boulevard, the Ferguson Line, and Belmont Road (74). “All other movements will be closed to allow the construction of the roundabout.”

The city says the completion date is approaching, adding: “Thank you for your patience, St. Thomas!”

Meanwhile, this weekend saw the opening of two highly anticipated intersections.

The two-lane intersection at Highway 3 and Centennial Boulevard and the roundabout where South Edgeware Road meets Highbury Boulevard are now open to through traffic.

St. “They will be two-lane and designed to allow a large transport truck to go all the way around and stay in its lane,” Patrick Anckaert, senior project manager for Industrial Development for the city of Thomas, told CTV. News in February.

These roads were modified and designed to improve traffic flow while serving the future PowerCo facility.
