An Oxford woman died in a single-vehicle accident that occurred at around 23.30 on Friday, October 25.

Nina N. Mims, 27, was fatally injured when the 2009 Honda Pilot she was driving left the road, struck a tree and caught fire. Mims was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash occurred on Alabama 22 near mile marker 36, about 13 miles west of Selma in Dallas County. While troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate, we do not have any further information.
