Questions to answer when voting this November

President Eisenhower warned the country about the “military-industrial complex” in his farewell address in January 1961. How many military engagements has this country participated in since then?

The United States provides “aid” to Israel and Ukraine. Who are the financial beneficiaries in this country?

Videos of illegal aliens entering this country by climbing over fences or wading through streams do not show dirty, poorly dressed, impoverished individuals. Who provides the financial resources to enable them to reach Mexico and reach the southern border?

Cost-of-living adjustments (COLAs) provided to Social Security recipients through 2021 and into next year will total more than 20%. Many cite “corporate greed” or “price gouging” as the root causes of inflation. I recommend people working in the private sector and receiving annual salary increases to look in the mirror. Why aren’t such wage increases more widely publicized as a major cause of inflation? It can be argued that increasing minimum wages with political motivation is inflationary.

The upcoming elections pose interesting challenges. Are we going to go to war? How many more undocumented aliens can we house? Can inflation be limited only by increasing interest rates? What can be done to reduce the national debt? How can we reduce our dependence on materials and goods imported from China and other countries?

The number of unanswered questions is increasing day by day. How gullible are the voters?
