The best North Shore Halloween shows.

Watch drone video of mountain bikers from beyond the grave.

As those on the North Shore will know, there’s nothing scarier than the bombing of the double black diamond on Mount Fromme. Except maybe Grant Baldwin’s front yard.

Baldwin, which North Shore residents already know Director and creator behind Popular Information Networks Search and Rescue: North Shore documentary seriesused his creativity to decorate his yard with a distinctly Lynn Valley (or Sin Valley) mountain bike-themed Halloween display.

“One of the main reasons we moved to the North Shore was to bike,” Baldwin said. “This is mountain bike heaven.”

Baldwin’s display, always helped by his children Arlo and Juniper, has grown over the years and now includes mountain bikers suspended from trees and riding ramps from beyond the grave. There are also road signs that imitate names we already know. Boblsed is now Bobs Dead. The Digger is now the Grave Digger. The Executioner is probably fine as is.

“We continued to scale up. “It started with one character and continued,” he said. “The rule is we try to make it as homemade as we can and then let the kids use the tools.”

Baldwin said it was popular in the neighborhood.

“People stop and chat, stop and take photos, or bring kids in to check it out,” he said. “I think it’s good for the community.”

Baldwin shot a 50-second “fright flight” video using his drone piloting skills for those unable to attend the exhibit on the 1000 block of Shakespeare Boulevard; you can see the video here:
