Motorcyclist killed in multi-vehicle crash near Northeast Philadelphia, police say

A motorcyclist was killed Saturday afternoon following a multi-car crash near Bustleton Boulevard and Tomlinson Road in Northeast Philadelphia, according to police.

Police said the 22-year-old motorcyclist was speeding northbound on Bustleton Avenue between lanes and turned left heading south just after 3.30pm, colliding with a private car heading onto Tomlinson Road.

The man was taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital by paramedics and was pronounced dead at 4:24 p.m.

Police announced that 4 vehicles, including a motorcycle, were involved in the accident.

In the police statement, it was stated that after the first accident involving a motorcycle and a private car, two cars following the private car collided from behind.

No other injuries were reported.
