A man died due to a hornet sting in Panchthar district.

The deceased was identified as Subharaj Tumrok (26) from Shiva Phidim Municipality-6 in Panchthar district.

Tumrok was stung by hornets while trying to remove a hive on October 23. Although he received initial treatment at a local medical center, he failed to recover. Panchthar district police spokesperson Benilal Shah said that he passed away at his home while arrangements were being made to transfer him to the district headquarters for further care.

Shah added that the body was transferred to Panchthar Hospital for autopsy and that efforts are continuing to deliver it to the family.
