Elon Musk’s daughter says she will leave the US after Donald Trump’s win and criticizes Musk’s ‘victim narrative’

Elon Musk’s estranged daughter Vivian Jenna Wilson has confirmed that Donald Trump plans to leave the US following his 2024 election victory. The decision, which stemmed from his concerns about the political climate in the country, sparked an intense public debate between him and his father. Musk recently touched on this issue, attributing their strained relationship to what he calls the “woke mind virus,” to which Wilson responded with harsh criticism.

In one of his posts on Threads he said: “I’ve been thinking about this for a while but yesterday confirmed it for me. I don’t think my future is in the United States. Even if he’s only in office for 4 years, even if anti-Trans regulations don’t magically happen, there are people who will willingly vote for this They’re not going anywhere anytime soon.”

Wilson’s decision to leave the country initially garnered a lot of attention, especially after Musk publicly commented, “The awakened mind virus killed my son.” Musk’s use of the phrase has become a recurring theme in his discussions of progressive ideologies, and he has repeatedly implied that these beliefs lie behind his fractured relationship with his daughter. In response, Wilson sent a scathing message to Threads: “So you’re still telling a sob story about ‘wow, my kid got infected with this or that thing and that’s the only reason they got into this situation.'” ‘Hate me.’”

Wilson went on to mock Musk’s response, arguing that Musk was using a “stereotypical victim narrative” rather than taking responsibility for his personal consequences. “It’s just tiring, over-the-top and cliche. I’m really bored,” he wrote, noting that he felt Musk’s statements were more about saving image than reality.

Wilson suggested in his post that Musk’s disappointment may stem from his lack of control over his decision to leave. He wrote: “If I’m right, the reason this particular post reached you is because you’re angry because you finally don’t have power over someone.” He described Musk as “a delusional and dirty little control freak who has been immature as a person for 38 years” and made clear that he sees their estrangement as largely his responsibility.
