Kings’ Domantas Sabonis Provides Honest Statement About Keegan Murray

Sacramento Kings They had an up-and-down start to the 2024-25 season, losing the first two but winning five of the last six games to improve to 5-3 in eight games.

The Kings are led by six-time All-Star DeMar DeRozan, who averages 25.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.9 steals per game on 52.9/38.1/87.5 shooting. Playing with the odds. Sacramento’s offseason addition of DeRozan was questioned by many, but the star wing is showing off in his first season.

But DeRozan had help, especially from star teammates De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis. All-Star big man Sabonis leads the Kings in rebounds and assists, while Fox is a decisive performer on both sides of the ball, averaging 23.8 points and 2.0 steals per game.

Sacramento’s supporting cast was equally impressive; Keegan Murray has taken a huge step towards two-way dominance this season. In Wednesday’s win Toronto RaptorsMurray recorded his fourth double-double of the year with 22 points and 12 rebounds.

Following Wednesday’s win, Sabonis had strong praise for Murray.

“He listens, he works hard, and he goes out there and competes,” Sabonis says of Murray. “We see that every day, every game. He had 12 rebounds today, 7 offensively… With Keegan, you can put him in different positions. He’s trying to figure out how to rebound on the defensive end and guard those multiple positions.”

Murray is one of the most important pieces of the Kings team and continues to raise the bar for Sacramento as a championship contender as he grows on both ends of the floor.
