Jets vs. Cardinals prediction: Odds, expert picks, QB matchup, injury report, betting trends and stats

The New York Jets, who ended their five-game losing streak in Week 9, travel across the country to face the NFC West-leading Arizona Cardinals.

In last week’s 21-13 victory over the Texans, the Jets’ offense finally got things going and Aaron Rodgers threw three touchdown passes for the first time this season, two to Garrett Wilson and one to Davante Adams. This was the type of performance Jets fans had been hoping for since acquiring Adams from the Raiders four weeks ago. Not only did Adams find the end zone for the first time as a Jet, but he also had his best performance as a member of the Gang Green with 7 catches on 11 targets for 91 yards and a TD. He appears to be getting more comfortable on offense, as his receptions and passing yards have increased for three straight weeks since being brought in to form a dangerous 1-2 WR combo with Wilson. If you think this trend will continue, it makes sense to bet OVERS on him scoring 5.5 (-130), 68.5 (-115) yards, or even a TD (+130) at any given time.

The Cardinals came into this matchup on a three-game winning streak after running all over the Bears in Week 9. Arizona totaled 213 rushing yards and 3 TDs as a team while averaging 6.3 yards per carry in the 29-9 victory. This meant Kyler Murray didn’t have to do much in the passing game. In fact, it was the first game this season in which he did not score a TD.

But when Murray attacked the Jets through the air in Week 10, rookie WR Marvin Harrison Jr. and will look at TE Trey McBride, who has become a security blanket for the Cardinals’ signal-caller. McBride had at least 5 catches and a 50-yard field goal in four games heading into Week 9, and while the trend didn’t continue due to the Cardinals’ dominance in the running game, McBride found the end zone for the first time this season — as a runner, no less. If you think Murray and McBride will get back on track this week, it would be wise to bet OVERS on McBride’s 5.5 (+115) catches and 52.5 (-115) yards.

Apart from the games mentioned above, let’s dive into the matchup and find a sweat or two.
