32-year-old woman stabbed to death in Stow on Wednesday identified, her uncle charged with murder

Authorities are investigating the murder of a 32-year-old woman, according to the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Stow police responded to a call about a stabbing in the 4000 block of Baird Street around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, the medical examiner said in a statement. First responders found the victim to have multiple stab wounds and he was later pronounced dead at the scene at 10:46 p.m.

The victim was identified as Sharee Hutch of Stow, according to the coroner’s office.

According to Beacon Journal news partner News 5 Cleveland reportedThe person who called 911 said he stabbed a family member after a fight.

The suspect was transported to Akron State Hospital for treatment of cuts on his hand. After being treated, the suspect was taken to the Summit County Jail and charged with murder, News 5 reported.

According to Stow police, the suspect, John Lorkowski, was Hutch’s uncle. Lorkowski was arraigned Thursday in Stow Municipal Court by Judge Lisa Coates, where his bond was set at $500,000 cash.

Stow police said the man had no prior criminal history and no previous incidents had been reported at the home.
