TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – Crews were responding to a grass fire in West Topeka Thursday morning.

The fire was reported around 10:52 a.m. Thursday in the 1000 block of SW Wanamaker Road.

Initial reports indicated that a large pile of brush was burning in that area, but a burn permit had been issued for the fire.

There were no immediate reports of property damage.
