Monroe Co. accused of stabbing her husband. woman was arrested

Monroe County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a woman who allegedly stabbed her husband in Bedford Township on Thursday.

Officers received the initial call around 2:20 a.m. from a man requesting officers respond, the Sheriff’s Office said in a press release.

According to the statement, the caller did not respond at first and hung up, but after several calls he told officers he had been stabbed.

Deputies found the man with a stab wound to his hand at the scene in the 6800 block of South Telegraph Road, authorities said.

Investigators believe the man’s 37-year-old wife stabbed him after the couple had a disagreement, according to the statement.

Deputies arrested the woman and transported her to the Monroe County Jail.

Authorities are withholding the woman’s name until she is formally arraigned in Monroe County First District Court on a charge of assault with intent to inflict serious bodily harm less than murder, according to the release.
