SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) – A water main break in downtown Springfield Wednesday night flooded a nearby building.

When our Western Mass News crews arrived around 8 a.m. we could see that crews were actively working to contain this break.

Main Street was closed to traffic for a while while Water and Sewerage Commission teams carried out repair work.

Eversource crews also arrived on scene and helped pump water from the flooded building.

No injuries were reported.
