Arjun had faced a rough patch in his career as his films failed at the box office. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter India Kuttey The actor was asked how he dealt with depression while shooting for the film.

During his conversation, the actor revealed that he was diagnosed with mild depression and Hashimoto’s disease.

Talking about moments of self-doubt, he said, “In any profession, there are moments of self-doubt and you struggle with that. When films are not successful, those moments last for days, then months and years. You start doubting yourself, negativity always gets louder. Moreover, being a fat kid creates a lot of mental trauma over the years and you don’t realize it. Your equation with food and taking care of yourself.

The actor also added: “I’ve never been a harsh or negative person, but it started to fester inside me very badly. I started watching YouTube short videos to sleep. I started therapy and went to a few therapists to no avail. Then I found someone who let me actually talk.” At that time he diagnosed me with mild depression, which is a very circumstantial condition.”

He also talked about his physical health struggles, sharing that he has Hashimoto’s disease.

“I haven’t always brought this up, but I also have Hashimoto’s disease, which is an extension of the thyroid. It’s like I can get on a plane and gain weight because my body is in trouble. This happened when I was 30 and I spoke out against it. My mother had it and my sister (Anshula Kapoor) also had it. “I could see myself and my body changing throughout my films,” she said.

What is Hashimoto’s disease?

Hashimoto’s disease is an autoimmune chronic condition that affects the thyroid gland. It is a common disease and can develop at any age. However, it is common among middle-aged women.
