MAINE (WABI) – Law enforcement agencies across the state will participate in National Drug Take Back Day on Saturday.

The event aims to provide a safe, convenient and responsible way for people to dispose of unused, expired or unwanted medicines.

To prepare for Take Back Day, officials say you should take inventory of your medications and determine which ones are unwanted or expired.

You must label each of the identified medicines with a clear sign and leave them at the collection area between 10:00 am and 14:00 pm.
