Ritchie Torres criticizes far-left Democrats for Trump win

a Democratic congressman new York recently blamed progressives for President-elect Trump’s victory this week and suggested the far left was causing some voters to disappoint.

Rep. Ritchie Torres, D-Y., claimed in an X (ex-Twitter) post on Wednesday that his party is “alienating historic numbers” of minority voters. Torres, a strong supporter of Israel, pointed to pro-Palestinian protests as well as the move to defund the police as one of the reasons.

“Donald Trump has no better friend than the far left, which has managed to alienate historic numbers of Latinos, Blacks, Asians, and Jews from the Democratic Party with nonsense like ‘Defund the Police’ or ‘River to Sea.’” “Latinx,” Torres wrote.

“He has more to lose than to gain politically by pandering to the far left, which represents Twitter, Twitch and TikTok more than the real world,” the Democrat added. “The working class is not buying the ivory tower nonsense the far left is selling.”
