49ers ring the bell, add Davis at deadline

Just seconds before the trade deadline, the San Francisco 49ers acquired defensive tackle Khalil Davis from the Houston Texans in exchange for a 2026 seventh-round draft pick, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Davis has played a depth role in nine games for the Texans this year, but will help fill a need on the Niners’ defensive line after two-time Pro-Bowler Javon Hargrave was ruled out for the rest of the season.

The 28-year-old has recorded three sacks, 43 combined tackles, 10 tackles for loss and was forced into a fumble in 27 career games with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Indianapolis Colts and Texans.

Tampa Bay darted to the Blue Springs, Mo., Nebraska native in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft.


Ravens strengthen defense, trade for White

The Baltimore Ravens are acquiring forward Tre’Dacious White and a 2027 seventh-round draft pick from the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for a seventh-round player in 2026, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

White has not started a game for Los Angeles since September 29, and multiple reports have emerged that the team has authorized a trade for the eight-year veteran.

In four games played this year, White recorded 12 tackles and two passes defensed after signing a one-year, $4.25 million deal with the team in the offseason following his release from the Buffalo Bills.

The 2019 first-team All-Pro spent the first seven seasons of his career in Buffalo, where he suffered multiple long-term injuries, including ACL and Achilles tears.

Steelers strike again, acquire Smith from Packers

Steelers buy Williams

The Pittsburgh Steelers are acquiring Mike Williams from the New York Jets for a fifth-round pick, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Williams signed a one-year, $10 million deal with New York this offseason, but had struggled to find a place in the Aaron Rodgers-led offense with just 12 receptions for 166 yards through nine games. He initially ranked behind Garrett Wilson and Allen Lazard on the Jets’ wide receiver depth chart and fell further after Davante Adams was acquired from the Las Vegas Raiders on Oct. 15.

Colts Close Door on Richardson Deal

After the Indianapolis Colts brought Anthony Richardson off the bench last week, ESPN’s Stephen Holder reported that the team told suitors they were not interested in trading the quarterback.

Richardson, 22, was brought off the bench after completing just 44.4 percent of his pass attempts with four touchdowns and seven interceptions in six starts this season.

While the team chose to select veteran Joe Flacco with the fourth pick in last year’s draft, Holder stated that Indianapolis has no plans to trade Richardson.

The Florida Gators graduate made just 10 career starts after his rookie season was cut short due to season-ending surgery on his right shoulder.

Indianapolis is 4-5 on the season, two games behind the Houston Texans in the AFC South.


Commanders Landed at Lattimore

The Washington Commanders are acquiring CB Marshon Lattimore and a 2025 fifth-round pick from the New Orleans Saints in exchange for a third, fourth and sixth-round pick in next year’s draft, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Lattimore, a four-time Pro-Bowler, is currently entering his eighth NFL season after the Saints drafted him with the 11th overall pick in 2017.

He joins a 7-2 first-place Commanders team led by rookie superstar Jayden Daniels.

Lattimore recorded 326 solo tackles, 15 interceptions and five forced fumbles in 97 career games with the Saints.

Metcalf Will Stay in Seattle

The Seattle Seahawks will not trade star receiver DK Metcalf ahead of the 4 p.m. ET trade deadline, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Metcalf, now in his sixth season with the Seahawks, will remain in Seattle as the player continues to work his way back from the MCL sprain he suffered in Week 7.

Metcalf, a second-round pick of Seattle in the 2019 NFL Draft, has 407 receptions, 5,900 yards and 46 touchdowns in 89 career games.


Cowboys Trade Mingo

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Dallas Cowboys acquired Jonathan Mingo and a 2025 seventh-round draft pick from the Carolina Panthers in exchange for a 2025 fourth-round draft pick.

Mingo, a former 2023 second-round draft pick, joined the Cowboys after star CeeDee Lamb suffered an AC joint sprain in Sunday’s loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

Quarterback Dak Prescott was also injured in the contest and is expected to land on injured reserve.

Mingo recorded 12 receptions for 121 yards and no touchdowns for the 2-7 Carolina Panthers this season and was struggling to see consistent playing time behind openers Xavier Legette, Jalen Coker and David Moore.

The Ole Miss product becomes the second receiver traded by the Panthers before the deadline, with Dionate Johnson being sent to Baltimore for a fifth-round pick last week.


Bengals acquire Herbert
