BAKERSFIELD, Cali. (Gray News) – An 18-year-old woman was killed after being struck by multiple drivers on a highway in California on Halloween night, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a 2008 Honda was traveling approximately 55 to 60 mph in lane three of the highway. KBAK reported.

For unknown reasons, the woman entered the lane just before 6:45 p.m. The Honda struck her and she swerved into the fourth lane, directly into the path of a Bentley, which then struck the pedestrian, authorities said.

CHP initially told KBAK that the woman was a skateboarder.

The drivers of the Honda and Bentley remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

According to CHP, it is thought that the woman may have been hit multiple times by unidentified drivers passing by.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other injuries were reported. It’s unclear if any charges have been filed.
