Premier League sells UK live audio rights to BBC and talkSPORT

The Premier League has completed the sale of live audio commentary rights in England for the next four seasons from 2025/26 to 2028/29.

A package of six rights was tendered and awarded to the BBC and talkSPORT following a competitive process as follows:

The six pack entitles you to live audio commentary for all Premier League matches taking place outside the Saturday 15:00 match window. Two matches will be selected for audio broadcast from each hour 15:00 window.

Four matches will be selected for audio broadcast on the final day of each season. Midweek fixture schedules for Packages 2, 3 and 6 will be provided by the Audio Broadcaster.

Live Sound Pack 1: (Approximately 65 Live Matches)

(a) Two (2) Live Matches (excluding any Shared FA Cup) each weekend’s fixture schedule are scheduled to start at 3pm on the Saturday and two (2) or more Matches are scheduled to be played simultaneously on the Final Weekend and the final day of the season );
(b) In any Shared FA Cup Final Weekend, on Sunday, two (2) Matches in the time slot used for Matches not selected under Live Audiovisual Packages AE (temporarily 15.00), as long as there are two (2) matches in that slot Matches played or more; And
(c) One (1) additional Live Match on the last day of the season.

Live Sound Pack 2: (Approximately 43 Live Matches)

(a) All matches are scheduled to kick off at 12.30pm on Saturdays (or at or around 12.30pm on the Sunday of any Shared FA Cup Final Weekend);
(b) All matches scheduled to start between 19.30 and 20.00 on Saturdays;
(c) All 10 Matches played as part of the second midweek fixture schedule; And
(d) An additional Live Match on the last day of the season.

Live Sound Pack 3: (Approximately 43 Live Matches)

(a) All matches are scheduled to kick off at 5.30pm on Saturdays (or at or around 5.30pm on the Sunday of any Shared FA Cup Final Weekend);
(b) All 10 matches played as part of the fifth midweek fixture schedule; And
(c) An additional Live Match on the last day of the season.

Live Sound Pack 4: (Approximately 66 Live Matches)

(a) All matches are scheduled to kick off at 2pm on Sundays (or at or around 7pm on a Sunday on any shared FA Cup Final weekend).

Live Sound Pack 5: (Approximately 35 Live Matches)

(a) All matches scheduled to start at or around 15.30 – 16.30 on Sundays (excluding the shared FA Cup Final weekend);
(b) Every match played as part of any joint FA Cup Final weekend by a Club playing in the FA Cup Final that season; And
(c) An additional Live Match on the last day of the season.

Live Sound Pack 6: (Approx. 68 Matches)

(a) All matches scheduled to start at 19.30-20.00 on Fridays;
(b) All matches scheduled to kick off at 12.00pm on Sundays (except Shared FA Cup Final Weekend);
(c) All matches scheduled to kick off at 20.00 on Mondays (including the Shared FA Cup Final Weekend);
(d) All matches excluded from weekend fixture schedules and rescheduled to be played on midweek evenings (excluding Matches falling under (a) and (c) above, but excluding FA Cup finalist Matches rescheduled to midweek); And
(e) Thirty (30) All matches were played as part of the first, third and fourth midweek fixture schedules.
