1 dead, 2 injured in rural crash south of Blair

BLAIR, Neb. (WOWT) – One person was killed and two others were injured in a crash near Blair on Monday.

A passenger in a Ford Mustang convertible was killed in a three-vehicle crash just before 6 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 133 and Highway P26, a few miles south of Blair, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

WCSO investigators said the Mustang was traveling eastbound on County Road P26, passing a stop sign on Highway 133 and striking a vehicle before striking a pickup truck.

While the driver of the Mustang and the pickup truck were taken to the hospital, the passenger in the Mustang died at the scene. The driver of the third vehicle involved in the accident did not suffer any injuries.

The sheriff said the name of the deceased victim will be released once relatives are notified.
