Domantas Sabonis leads Kings Past Heat in 111-110 road win

Sacramento Kings He won 111-110 Miami Heat In a nail-biting moment that came down to the final seconds. De’Aaron Fox missed the go-ahead shot but Domantas Sabonis advanced strongly towards the offensive rebound and quickly attempted a throw-in.

It was one play that summed up the whole game. Events in Miami turned physical; Sabonis was hit in the face multiple times and even had to leave the game to stop his bleeding in the locker room.

The All-Star center competed throughout the night and finished the game with 16 points, 16 rebounds and 7 assists. The Kings did a great job of matching the Heat’s physicality all night; Not only did Sabonis bring sass inside, but his teammates brought physicality as well.

Sacramento used a big third quarter to get back into the game. They entered the first half trailing 48-61, but they defeated Miami 37-17 in the third quarter and entered the final period ahead.

In his post-game interview, Sabonis revealed that the locker room got heated during halftime. This is bound to happen over the course of a season and is a great sign that players and coaches are holding each other accountable.

Coming off half a +20 quarter after explaining everything in the locker room is a great sign for a team still trying to figure things out at the start of the season.

Tonight, Sacramento showed that it won’t be easy to push them around. They fought hard, played for each other and achieved a tough victory. It’s hard to ask for more to end a four-game road trip.
