Amaran box office Day 5: Sivakarthikeyan film declines, still earns Rs 10 crore

Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi starrer Amaran is doing phenomenal business at the box office. The film, a biopic on the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan, is expected to enter the Rs 200 crore club in a few days. Amaran successfully passed the critical Monday exam. Although the film saw a significant drop in numbers on Monday, November 4, it still made double digits at the domestic box office.

Amaran was released in theaters on October 31 in multiple languages. The film is receiving positive response from both critics and audiences.

During its four-day opening weekend, Amaran earned over Rs 150 million worldwide. The film first released in theaters on Monday and is said to have earned a net revenue of around Rs 10.25 crore at the domestic box office. This actually bodes well for the movie.

Amaran has earned Rs 93.35 crore nett in India in five days and is likely to enter the 100 crore rupee club today, i.e. November 5. The Tamil version of the film recorded an occupancy of 48.59 percent on November 4.

Biographical war film It is an adaptation of the book series India’s Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Military Heroes by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh. A chapter in one of the three books details a mission carried out by Major Mukund Varadarajan.

The cast of the film, jointly produced by Raaj Kamal Films International and Sony Pictures Films India, includes Sivakarthikeyan, Sai Pallavi, Bhuvan Arora, Rahul Bose, Lallu, Shreekumar, Shyam Mohan, Geetha Kailasam, Umair Ibn Lateef and many others.
