A pedestrian was seriously injured in an accident that occurred at a supermarket gas station.

Devon and Cornwall Police said officers were called to reports of an accident in the forecourt of Sainsbury’s petrol station on Nicholson Road in Torquay at around 4.10pm on Friday.

Police said the incident involved a car and a man in his 60s who was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police added that the female driver in her 70s was also hospitalized with minor injuries and that the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
